There are weekly vigils at Macehualli to connect with

the families and the communities who are suffering.

 

There are also weekly vigils on Tuesday, 7:30pm 

at the 4th Ave Jail at Madison in downtown Phoenix.

Adopted by the UN General Assembly on September 13th, 2007
Article 36

1. Indigenous peoples, in particular those divided by international borders, have the right to

maintain and develop contacts, relations and cooperation, including activities

for spiritual, cultural, political, economic and social purposes,

with their own members as well as other peoples across borders.
2. States, in consultation and cooperation with indigenous peoples,

shall take effective measures to facilitate the exercise

and ensure the implementation of this right.

Steele Indian School Park down Central avenue

making stops at the ICE Building,

the Wells Fargo building that hosts Sheriff Arpaio's offices,

and ending at the federal building.

March 6, 2008--Forum On Racial Profiling

The Arizona Civil Rights Advisory Board, appointed by Governor Janet Napolitano, held a forum for public comments on racial profiling and will recommend that Arizona police agencies take steps to ensure better training and reporting, as well as creation of an independent citizen commission to investigate racial-profiling complaints.
